Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of foundation trenches. The site lay within an area of major archaeological interest centred on the Roman town of Brough and it was deemed possible that deposits of the Roman period and later may be revealed. Modern building rubble and a 19th century ceramic land drain were the only remains revealed during the exercise. [AIP.
