Abstract: |
During an evaluation at the site, further evidence was uncovered for the medieval house of Crouched Friars. This included a large stone-and-mortar foundation. An early post-medieval foundation at the site may have resulted from the conversion of part of the building into residential use. Surprisingly, there was no definite evidence for medieval burials, although a probable Roman inhumation was discovered at the rear of the site. [Au(adp)] |
