Abstract: |
An area of 3ha, identified as being of archaeological interest from aerial photographs, was surveyed using a fluxgate gradiometer. At least four linked enclosures and part of a double ditched trackway were identified. Discrete peaks in the data were possible areas of heating such as kilns or hearths, or be pits containing magnetically enhanced material. Evidence for medieval ridge and furrow ploughing was seen as well as an infilled drainage dyke and numerous field drains. [Au(abr)] |
