Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in the rear yard of The White House during the drilling of a borehole. The borehole revealed deposits of natural origin at a depth of 1.2m BGL. A relict soil overlay natural and was in turn sealed by 19th-20th century demolition material. Deposits above this consisted of a thin layer of rubble and a capping of modern tarmac. [Au(abr)] |
