Abstract: |
Two trial trenches were machine excavated under archaeological supervision, one following the outline of the wall footings of the proposed extension, forming three sides of a square along the boundaries of the site, and one intermediate trench in the middle of the site. The trenches did not reveal any archaeological deposits or structures pre-dating the 19th century. Layers of made ground were observed down to a maximum excavation depth of 1m. [Au(abr)] |
