Abstract: |
<summary>An assessment was carried out in response to a proposed extension of Rockbeare Hill Quarry. A documentary search and a visual inspection were carried out; the inspection was hampered by the fact that much of the area was covered by a conifer plantation. A number of possible archaeological features may be preserved at the site, including an Admiralty telegraph, a Saxon estate boundary, and a medieval parish boundary. Other previously unrecorded features were noted during the inspection. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
