Abstract: |
The assessment identified evidence for the development and expansion of Thirsk from Anglo-Saxon times through to the 20th century. Roman evidence suggested a much earlier origin of the town. It was considered that archaeological monitoring should be undertaken during the machine-excavation of the proposed trench and for any other ancillary work. [Au(adp)] |
