Abstract: |
A trial trench was excavated within the grounds of Moat Farm, within the moat island. A brick-built building was revealed, excavation within the building revealed modern build-up. The only archaeological feature revealed was a small pit which contained 11th-13th century pottery. It was recommended that a watching brief be undertaken if further development would require a deep disturbance of the ground as the potential was recognised for the presence of medieval remains.
