Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during a geotechnical investigation at a site where 16th-17th century remains of national importance had been identified during a previous evaluation. A structure which may have related to the Bear Garden bear-baiting arena and 17th-18th century glassworking waste had been recorded. During the watching brief, a brick structure, floors and dumps, apparently of 18th century date, were observed. [AIP] |
