Abstract: |
A fieldwalking survey on a substantial site proposed for development as housing did not lead to the recovery of large numbers of finds, a factor which made their interpretation difficult. Prehistoric activity had been recorded for the site, especially adjacent to the stream towards the south-east corner. Finds of Roman pottery were few, but did point to use of the area at this time.
