Abstract: |
Three trial pits were excavated to establish the location of the southern terminus of the Grand Surrey Canal at Canal Head Peckham. The trial pits located the south-eastern corner junction of the canal wall and two sections of the eastern canal wall. The internal area of the canal was backfilled with successive levels of building rubble and sand. [Au(adp)] |
