Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of the excavation of five trial trenches, was undertaken in advance of residential development. A single large medieval pit, possibly relating to the quarrying of sand on the site, was revealed, in addition to a number of post-medieval foundations and a soakaway, probably relating to the use of the site as a maltings in the 19th century.
