Abstract: |
The site was bounded to the west by the Roman route of Ermine Street (now the A1M). A late Iron Age/Romano-British farmstead was excavated on the opposite side of the road, and the remains of a bathhouse which was abandoned in the 380s. There was evidence that it was reoccupied in the 5th and 6th centuries and an additional contemporary building was constructed in the immediate vicinity. [Au(abr)] |
