Abstract: |
Oxford Archaeology carried out a five trench field evaluation in respect of a planning application for a housing development. The evaluation revealed one 18th/19th century pit and evidence of mid 19th century agricultural cultivation. The lack of archaeological remains within the evaluation trenches indicated very limited ancient land-use on this site. The negative results contributed to a more accurate view of the historic landscape. [Au(adp)] |
