Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of a bungalow and garage with associated services. The site was located in the vicinity of the medieval village of Clementhorpe, which no longer existed as a separate entity. The excavated footings for the bungalow, garage and the service trenches were examined but no evidence of archaeological features or deposits were found. The only finds were two sherds of post-medieval/modern pottery. [Au(abr)] |
