Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment revealed that the site formed part of the medieval manor of Jenninsbury and was later incorporated as part of the estate of Balls Park. Although only a polished flint Neolithic axe was found within the site (in the north-western corner), Foxholes Farm lay to the north-east and the site was located within an area that had the potential to reveal evidence of medieval and post-medieval activity, as well as possible prehistoric and Romano-British use.
