Abstract: |
Following the discovery of human remains by workmen during groundworks associated with a housing development at Assarts Farm, the site was attended by the County Archaeologist and a member of Trent and Peak Archaeological Trust. The recovered remains were examined and it was established that the remains were of a male in middle to late age. From the condition of the bones and teeth it was concluded that the body had been in the ground for well over 100 years, and may even been of medieval date. [Au(adp)] |
