Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out during exploratory test pitting prior to mains laying. The site was located immediately adjacent to one of the area of Offa's Dyke designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Although the archaeological results were not conclusive, the deposits recorded within the test pits were thought to have been part of the backfilled ditch of Offa's Dyke. [Au] |
