Abstract: |
Trenches excavated on the site of a former depot showed that archaeological preservation below the hardcore and concrete was excellent. It was suggested that the least destructive option would be to preserve what was undoubtedly a nationally important site beneath a 'raft' of concrete and ballast. Bronze Age settlement evidence and other prehistoric features were found. [Au(adp)] |
