Abstract:		 The evaluation revealed the presence of substantial post-medieval settlement activity on the site. The remains of buildings and cellars of 19th century date were revealed, as well as associated pottery finds. The earliest finds from the site were sherds of North Devon coarseware, dating from the early 15th century, and a medieval ridge tile which suggested that there may have been medieval activity in the area.
