Abstract: |
An archeological evaluation on the site of a proposed reservoir was carried out in October 1995. The evaluation comprised the recording of one machine-excavated trench within the ground plan of the proposed reservoir. A topsoil profile was revealed in the trench varying in depth between 220mm and 250mm, overlying natural chalk bedrock. A small area of modern disturbance was present at the northern end of the trench. No archaeological features or deposits were present. [Au] |
