Abstract:
A desk-top assessment was produced as an addendum to a previous report, to accompany a proposal to develop a site within a larger outline, after planning permission with an archaeological condition had already been granted. Medieval pits containing metalworking debris had been excavated in the vicinity. The site itself had been developed since the mid-17th century, although part of it had remained as open ground until c. 1800. An archaeological evaluation was recommended. [AIP]
