Abstract: |
Three trenches, each 1.5 m squared, were excavated and three archaeological features were recorded during the evaluation. A post hole (trench one) and a ditch and pit (trench two) were interpreted as medieval in date and probably reflected activities in the rear of medieval burbage plots. Similar deposits in trenches one and two were interpreted as possible wall footings of probable post-medieval date, and two late post-medieval rubbish pits were also recorded in trenches two and three.
