Abstract: |
A geophysical survey was conducted in advance of a proposed development. The resistivity survey detected a number of low resistance anomalies which were interpreted as reflecting former ditches and ridge and furrow cultivation. Some of these features had previously been identified as crop marks on aerial photographs. The location of at least one enclosure was confirmed, probable ring ditches possibly associated with houses, were also identified within the enclosure. Additional ditches may have indicated the presence of another enclosure and represented another phase of activity at the site. [Au(adp)] |
