Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of trenches for an electricity cable through the historic core of the village of Upper Broughton. Particular attention was paid to the excavation of a trench within the churchyard. No features or artefacts of archaeological interest were observed, but it was noted that the maximum depth of the excavations had been 0.50m, and that there was a potential for the survival of archaeological remains at greater depths.
