Abstract: |
Archaeological remains dating from the Roman to modern periods were found. Ditches representing the delineation of Roman settlement enclosures were recorded in all but one of the trenches, some enclosing pits and ditches representing settlement activity. A boundary ditch for the Roman road running to the south of the site was recorded. Medieval ridge and furrow was encountered across the site. The site was thought to be of regional importance, and recommendations for mitigation were made. [Au(adp)] |
