Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site which lay within medieval Chipping Campden. A pit containing late 13th and early 14th century pottery was recorded, and a possible path associated with late 18th or 19th century pottery was observed. Other features included a wall shown on a map of 1885, a post hole, post-medieval outbuilding floors and several garden features. It was recommended that archaeological recording should be carried out in areas of the site where unavoidable ground intrusion would take place during development. [AIP] |
