Abstract: |
A total of 24 trenches were excavated across the site. Eleven archaeological features were identified, comprising small pits, post holes, ditches and gullies. Small quantities of pottery from the prehistoric to medieval periods were recovered, in addition to a small number of artefacts. The presence of a former river channel and associated flood deposits containing fire-cracked flint were also of note. [Au(abr)] |
