Abstract: |
Two trial trenches were excavated as part of the Shortlands Junction Grade Separation. Natural sandy clay was revealed at the base of both of the trenches. This sloped downwards from 151.98OD at the north of the site (Trench 1) to 150.26m OD at the south (Trench 2). Topsoil and vegetation covered the whole of the site. No archaeological features or artefacts were encountered in the course of the evaluation. [Au(abr)] |
