Abstract: |
Monitoring of a water mains replacement revealed remains of two medieval roadside cottages separated by two narrow parallel ditches. Evidence of buildings of this date are rare in East Anglia as ploughing often removes all foundation traces. Recovered pottery suggests a 12th-15th century date for the occupation of the site.
