Abstract:		 Evaluation trenches were excavated on the proposed site of a residential development. Two metres of made-ground was identified sealing alluvium which sealed a former river channel. A thick deposit of Mesolithic to Neolithic peat was identified within the palaeo-channel. [Au(abr)]
