Abstract: |
In advance of gravel extraction, fieldwork was undertaken on a site within the extension of the quarry. Whilst Palaeolithic, Neolithic and Bronze Age finds were recovered during the excavation, indicating some sort of activity during those periods on or around the site, the main focus of activity and study was the Iron Age. Evidence of multi-phased enclosure and settlement, with hut circles was excavated. [AIP] |
