Abstract: |
A detailed fluxgate gradiometer magnetic survey was carried out over a total area of 2 ha on land situated immediately to the north of the present location of Chiddingstone Castle, Kent. The fluxgate gradiometer magnetic survey revealed a number of anomalies. Some of the geophysical anomalies related to the former 17th century formal gardens of the previous Jacobean mansion house. Other anomalies may have related to structures that existed prior to the formation of the artificial lake. [Au] |
