Abstract: |
An evaluation prior to excavation agreed before planning permission involved trial trenching over an area of 150ha.. Well preserved deposits spanning the periods from the early Mesolithic to the Late Bronze Age were revealed. Worked flint and preserved organic material were recovered from the edges of palaeochannels and there was potential to examine a long environmental sequence for the Holocene. [AIP] |
