Abstract: |
A system of land drains and traces of previous ploughing regimes indicated the area may have been utilised for arable cultivation prior to its instatement as pasture. A complex of features detected in Area 4 may have indicated a range of prehistoric activity including settlement. These features consisted of linear ditch systems, possible ring ditches, pits and possible pit/post hole alignments as well as possible hearths and kilns. [Au(abr)] |
