An archaeological excavation was carried out on the site. A series of ditches dating to the Bronze Age were identified cut by Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age features, comprising of a double ditched enclosure, a crouch burial, two cremations, and large pits, some of which contained wooden remains. A gully and a ditch of Roman date was identified. [Au(abr)] |
