Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in advance of a new convenience store. A subsoil containing struck flint of Middle Bronze Age date was recorded in three locations on site. In one area this layer also contained occasional later Iron Age and medieval artefacts suggesting ploughing disturbance. Two undated postholes, one with a possible flint packing were observed, possibly of prehistoric date. A north-south aligned post-medieval probable field ditch was also recorded. [Au(adp)] |
