Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation uncovered a small pond which was either a relict feature contemporary with or even preceding the medieval cultivation, or it was formed during the period of post-medieval enclosure when the plot itself was created. A ridge and furrow earthwork was also identified, which evidently once covered the entire plot. No finds of medieval date were recovered. A scatter of 18th to 20th century material was present.
