Abstract: |
An excavation was undertaken within the standing building. Occupation evidence dating from the Saxo-Norman period onwards were identified. A burnt clay floor, a cobbled surface, a brick drain, flint lined well and post-medieval pits were identified. The building was formerly used as a slaughterhouse/candlemakers. [Au(adp)] |
