Abstract: |
Trial trenching was carried out on part of the proposed course of the ring main into the Cambourne New Settlement development. A large feature was excavated, and the upper layers of its backfill produced 1st to 2nd century AD pottery. The nature of the feature could not be determined but it probably represented either a series of intercutting pits or a large, irregular single pit or pond. Other features revealed were field drains and a pit of unknown date. [Au(abr)] |
