Abstract: |
A watching brief during ground water control improvements around Barlborough Hall revealed a number of stone-lined drains of probable 17th century date, an undated wall, areas of the use of coal for soil improvement within the garden, a wall possibly of a kennel built after the main entrance was moved, and a wall probably from a long narrow out-building of unknown function which formerly ran west from the Hall.
