Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation comprised observations during the excavation of two trenches along the line of the proposed pathway, to decide whether the road would damage an icehouse thought to be situated below a stand of trees set on a low mound. No significant archaeological evidence was recovered from the site, either in the form of features, or artefacts. On the basis of the evaluation it could be stated that works associated with the construction of the proposed pathway would not encounter the icehouse. [Au(adp)] |
