During the archaeological work, a single struck flint, of probable Mesolithic or Early Neolithic date, was recovered from topsoil, along with two fragments of medieval pottery, a fragment of post-medieval glass and a fragment of clay tobacco pipe. While the assemblage was broad evidence of human activity in the area from prehistoric time onwards. [Au(abr)] |
