Abstract: |
Human bone was discovered during the excavation of a pipe trench within the area of a known 17th-19th century burial ground. A watching brief was carried out during the remainder of the excavation, at the request of the police. Walls relating to 19th century houses, and probably to 18th century almshouses, were noted, whilst bones from a charnel pit and a neonate burial were recorded. [AIP] |
