Archaeological observation of trenching for underpinning beneath the timber frame of Thatched Cottage, Stratton St. Michael revealed no evidence of foundations or suggestions of former structures. The cottage was of 16th to 17th century date and consisted of a wooden frame on a brick plinth. [Au(adp)] |
