Abstract: |
An evaluation of land proposed for the construction of a dwelling and associated outbuildings and driveway, recorded a variable depth of (possibly colluvial) subsoil overlying wethered chalk with periglacial clay and flint deposits. A single probably modern feature containing the partly articulated skeleton of a small animal was noted. A small collection of artefacts, comprising flint flakes and a single sherd of prehistoric pottery was recovered from topsoil and subsoil layers. [Au] |
