Abstract: |
The archaeological fieldwork identified an alluvial sequence which was consistent across the site. This included a thin layer of organic clay silt which was recorded at a depth of between 2.3 metres and 2.55 metres below present ground level. In addition, a large drainage feature, visible as an earthwork on the modern ground surface, was recorded, together with associated ridge and furrow cultivation features. [Au(abr)] |
