Abstract: |
<summary>Following the discovery of human bone remains during excavations for a pond in the garden to the rear of 28 Church Street, archaeological recording was undertaken. Burials of at least 20 individuals were identified and recorded. The graves lay to the east of the current churchyard boundary, but would formerly have been within the accepted perimeter of the burial area. Although no direct dating evidence for the burials was identified, they were later in date than deposits incorporating pottery of 14th-15th century date, but earlier than enclosure (1790). {italon}AIP{italoff} |
