Abstract: |
Seven geotechnical test pits were excavated and were archaeologically monitored. The test pits showed that the foundations of the eastern wall belonging to the medieval building appeared to extend to a greater depth than those associated with post-medieval infilling. The test pits on the eastern side also showed that the ground surface on the eastern side of Cleeve Hall had been raised. A buttress located at the northwestern corner of the building appeared to have been moved. [Au(adp)] |
