Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment of a proposed development site within an Archaeological Priority Area was undertaken. Previous excavations at the site itself had revealed pottery dating from neolithic, Roman, medieval and post-medieval times, as well as garden trenches and pits. Cut features and artefacts, including a large number of flint tools, had been recorded at a nearby site. A 14th century hamlet had lain in the area. It was concluded that some archaelogical recording work should be carried out. [AIP] |
